He’s Ded But He Won’t Lie Down                                              copyright 2013 by Don Taco

at the carnival

at the break of day

when the sun come up

but the band still play

see the husband dance

hear his woman say

he’s ded but he won’t lie down

hear the band play on

see the dance erupt

have another sip

from the passing cup

and the crowd so thick

hold each other up

they’re ded but they won’t lie down

aiko   back to back

see the zombie dance

aiko   back to belly

in the zombie trance

aiko fee na ney

hear the zombies say

we’re ded but we won’t lie down

at the carnival

in the winter time

with the sun like blood

and the moon like wine

hear the wife lament

crying one more time

he’s dead but he won’t lie down

with the clothes half off

and sunglasses on

plain to see that I'm

not the only one

I'm half dead myself

don’t want to miss the fun

I'm ded but I won’t lie down

aiko   back to back

see the zombie dance

aiko   back to belly

in the zombie trance

aiko fee na ney

hear the zombies say

we’re ded but we won’t lie down
